My hopes for my over seas experience is to have a better understanding of foreign countries and cultures. I've grown up in New England all of my life, I'm accustomed to our customs and traditions and now I'm ready to check out the rest of the world. Exploring is a passion for me, I love when small trips turn into adventurous excursions; so much is learned by the things we did not plan for. The first thing I plan on doing is throwing my luggage in my room, then spend a few hours wandering the streets around the dorm.
My hopes for the FP staff is that they will not only teach us some cool things in class, but also allow us to learn through out of class experiences. I understand we are still attending class and completing class and homework, but I hope that the work does not consume all of our time during the week. I hope the FP staff will learn as much from me as I will from them.
Each FP student has his/her own reasons for attending the trip, some want to study in a foreign country, others want to travel and a few just need a break from Pierce; But my hopes are that we can all come together as a group and have one spectacular time during these next four months. When we return from Europe, I hope we will become a closer group of friends than before.
I am nervious about travelling alone. America can be a dificult place to travel in sometimes, let alone being in a countinent without english. I'm sure I will be able to figure it out, Just a little nervious about it. Other than that, I'm ready to take on whatever Europe throws at me.
I am also nervous about traveling because I haven't really travelled much on my own, but let me know if you ever want to go somewhere and I will probably be interested in coming along! It will be fun to put our Anthropology knowledge to use and learn more about the cultures in Europe, I can't wait to do our Museum Studies homework together haha.
ReplyDeleteIm nervous to travel alone but its cool i have u! Can you dig it!
ReplyDeleteI think were all nervous about traveling, especially in a country that doesn't speak English. I'm so bad at speaking other languages. I think we will all have a blast though.
